Trinity Book Cover Fundraiser a SUCCESS!

With over 421 books to be covered and over $800.00 in proceeds the PTO of Trinity Lutheran school is pleased with the turn out of the book covering fundraiser and the benefits the students will benefit from this fundraiser.  Parents were thrilled and so are the kids!  In addition to basic book covering the PTO also offered decorated book covers for an increased fee.   We have over 200 books to be decorated.   So I will be very busy this weekend since school starts Tuesday September 1st! 

Here are some pictures of the fundraiser.   All proceeds go to Trinity Lutheran Church and School.

  

The material we are using is Tyvex and it's water and tear resistant, perfect for book covers!

Trinity PTO Fundraiser - Book Cover Service

Have you ever had to cover your childs books for school?   It can be a very tedious task, but no more!!!  The PTO of Trinity Lutheran Chuch and School in Utica Michigan has decided to offer parents the opportunity to cover their childs books for them.   For an added fee they can have them decorated, yes, by me!!!   Wow, I was so humbled and honored to be asked to help with this fundraiser!   ALL PROCEEDS from this fundraiser go the The Trinity Lutheran PTO to benefit our school.   The best part for me is I get the books covered by someone other than myself and I get to decorate lots of book covers (My favorite part!).  I have two wonderful sons, but I have to say it's going to be such a joy to do girly stuff too!

What a fun, worthwhile and exciting opportunity to share what I love to do with others!

You Can Take It With You!

Mom and demonstrator, Anne Warman from Barrington, Illinois, has her house on the market, but that didn’t stop her from using the Growth Chart! Her husband trimmed and painted a piece of plywood to place the vinyl on so when they sell their house they can take the Growth Chart wherever they go!

Crushed Curry Creativity

Grandmother and demonstrator, Gail Beezley from San Antonio, Texas, recently bought a new (old) house with a separate studio. In true Stampin’ Up! style, she even painted the walls Crushed Curry! Gail says, “I fell in love with the Growth Chart and had to have it for my studio. I can’t wait until my granddaughter comes to visit so I can take a picture of her with it.”

This Idea Really Measures Up

Lisa Clark thought beyond the traditional use of the Growth Chart and created a ruler for her craft room.  She cut out the ruler, then cut out the inch marks and adhered just the measurement marks to the edge of her counter. She then added the foot and half foot markers back in. Lisa uses this unobtrusive ruler to trim ribbon lengths, make quick measurements of scraps, visualize layouts, and more. 

When asked about the other pieces of the Growth Chart that she didn’t use, she says, “I may use the tree and birds elsewhere in my craft room for fun.”

Christmas In August with Diane & her Friends!

Here are some pictures from Diane's Christmas in August Class that we held at her house.  The fee was $25.00 and we did a Christmas Tag, Christmas Card, Gift Box and 6 x 6 Scrapbook Memory Gift. A great time was had by all and we all got a head start on our Christmas gifts. Because Diane hosted this class at her home she did the class for FREE! Party Time!

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of hosting a party with Tiea!  Tiea thank you so much for opening up your home to have such a fun creative party!
