DIY Handmade Cards make you smile. When is the last time you received a Handmade Card and didn't smile?   If I were a betting woman I'd say rarely.   There is something about a handmade card that make you smile.  Whether it is for a birthday or anniversary, during the happy times they definitely make you smile.

So imagine someone having a bad day.  Most of us want to reach out and touch someone with a DIY handmade card to let them know they are not alone in their journey, and of course to make them smile and give them encouragement!

The card below was created for Word Art Wednesday's Anything Goes Challenge #121 and inspired by this bible verse:

Micah 7-7

So often when we reach a rough patch in our lives we are sometimes guilty of not first praying or petitioning God with our concerns.  Instead we complain, or go to our friends or siblings.

The verse above is a great reminder that without God we have nothing, and we must be patient and trust God.  The Lord has blessed us with friends and family that we can lean on in hard times, so we should first pray and petition God with our needs and then go to our friends and family for support.  What an awesome gift he has given us with friends and family to hear our troubles, our joys, and to pray with us during the good and rough times.   Thankfully we have Salvation through Jesus who died for us.  What a blessing that is indeed.

DIY Handmade Card make you smile

When I created this card I was thinking of a friend of mine who has had one thing after another happen to her.  Her world has been turned upside down and she might not be able to feed her children.   Even in the midst of the chaos she is living through she still makes me smile.   So I wanted to send her this card and encourage her and let her know how special she is to me.   Do you know someone that could benefit from some encouragement?  If so I encourage you to whip up a DIY Handmade Card and make someone smile!

When I created this card I was unaware that the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (133324) was on back order.  You can still order it but it will take till end of March to get it (unfortunately), however, this card would still look cute using the Angled Tag Topper Punch (133323).

This is a super easy card to create and only takes minutes to put together.  The stamp sets used on this card are Petal Parade & A Round Array.  The Card Stock is Gumball Green, Night of Navy and Whisper White.  I also used the 7/8" scallop circle punch, Big Shot; Circle Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (FREE with qualifying Sale A Bration Order), Scallop Tag topper Punch, Satin Stitch Ribbon-gumball green, Corner Rounder from the Envelope Punch Board, Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals.  A special thanks to Catherine S. from Pinetop Arizona for the inspiration on this card!

If you want to step up this project you could put some craft metal where the Night Of Navy Cardstock is using the Midnight Blue Craft Metal at ALD.

If you need any of the materials to create this project

you can shop them HERE.

If you need Craft Metal please leave a comment and I'll place the order for you.
